The Pittsburgh Steelers opened their three-day mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, where star edge rusher T.J. Watt skipped out amid contract negotiations, drawing headlines of his own.
Yet, it was quarterback Aaron Rodgers, fresh off a turbulent free agency, a one-year pact inked just days earlier, and a long offseason of speculation, who truly commandeered the spotlight.
After signing his new deal, he hit the field, threw a few passes and during the post-practice press gathering, addressed the conspicuous ring on his finger.
When asked about it, Rodgers said, "Yeah, it’s a wedding ring. Thank you … It’s been a couple of months."
The admission capped days of buzzing rumors after the Steelers posted a photo of him wearing a dark ring upon signing his contract with Pittsburgh.
Despite one of the most public profiles in sports over the past two decades, Rodgers has masterfully kept his private affairs largely backstage.
He ended a high-profile engagement to actress Shailene Woodley in 2022 and has since been linked to several high-profile figures, from Danica Patrick to Olivia Munn.
In this press conference, he went no further than revealing his marital status: no names, no dates, no details.
However, sources suggest Rodgers quietly wed his longtime partner, Brittani, who revealed their relationship in December 2024, explaining why he told media he’d been married "a couple of months."

Drafted 24th overall in 2005, Rodgers spent three seasons learning behind Brett Favre before taking the reins in Green Bay in 2008.
He then went on to win the Super Bowl in 2010, earning Super Bowl MVP, along with four NFL MVP awards (2011, 2014, 2020, 2021), joining an exclusive club with Peyton Manning as the only two players with at least four MVPs.
Over 20 seasons, he has 503 career touchdown passes (fifth all-time) and 62,952 passing yards (seventh all-time).
