An insight into the chances of La Liga giants Barcelona securing a deal for Manchester United star Marcus Rashford this summer has on Tuesday been provided.
The name of wide-man Rashford has of course returned to the forefront of the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last couple of weeks.
This comes after the 27-year-old’s agent was spotted in a hotel in Barcelona, awaiting a meeting with Blaugrana sporting director Deco.
Barca are understood to have [identified Rashford as their priority backup target](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/barcelona-reunion-fichaje-marcus-rashford-117903630), amid struggles in finding a deal with Liverpool for priority target Luis Díaz.
And though the Colombian remains the preferred signing, Rashford’s arrival should not be at all ruled out.
This comes amid confirmation that the Englishman remains firmly in the sights of Barcelona.
Speaking during an appearance on DAZN on Tuesday, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano provided the following update:
“Barcelona has Rashford on their list of three or four winger options, and his transfer probability is estimated at 40%. Meetings have been held with his brother, and he has visited Barcelona several times. The player has a strong desire to move to Barcelona and play in Spain.”
