Jason Kelce recently revealed details about his latest business venture, a partnership with actor Bill Murray and others to co-own a golf course in New York’s Catskills region. The retired Philadelphia Eagles star shared his excitement about the project, which reflects his growing passion for golf and commitment to long-term investments.
The Sullivan County Golf Club, a historic nine-hole course, underwent significant renovations in 2024 before Kelce joined the ownership group. The course now features upgraded facilities, including new par-three and par-five holes with stunning mountain views. Kelce’s involvement highlights his interest in not only the sport but also in preserving and enhancing unique golfing experiences.

Kelce credited golf writer Tom Coyne for connecting him with Murray and the opportunity to invest in the course. A shared round of golf laid the foundation for their collaboration, leading to a larger conversation about revitalizing the property. Kelce emphasized the importance of aligning his recreational interests with meaningful business opportunities.
This venture is not Kelce’s first step into entrepreneurship. He is also a part-owner of an Ohio-based beverage company and has expanded his post-NFL portfolio to include media projects like his ESPN talk show and podcast with brother Travis Kelce. Each endeavor reflects his drive to explore diverse passions after a decorated football career.

“Tom and I played golf and did a podcast that he has. And we just kind of got to know each other through that,” Kelce said.
“I’ve been getting more involved with golf. I’m doing some stuff with my nonprofit, Underdog… And then he all of a sudden tells me, ‘Hey, do you want to go play a hoopie with Bill Murray?’ I’m like, ‘F*** yeah, I want to go play a hoopie with Bill Murray.’
“It sounded like this nine-hole course up in the Catskills in Sullivan County was going to be pretty killer… From there, we kind of came together, and now we’ve got a golf course.”
Kelce has also used his platform to support charitable causes, aligning his business efforts with his philanthropic values. By investing in the golf course, he aims to contribute to the community while creating a space that fosters connection and recreation. The project represents a blend of personal interest and broader impact.
