Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has a lot to be grateful for these days.
The 29-year-old QB is coming off one of the best seasons of his seven-year NFL career — one which won him his first MVP award after he threw for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns and only six interceptions while rushing for 531 yards and another 12 scores — and he recently signed a six-year, $330 million contract extension with a record $250 million guaranteed.
Oh, and he also recently married actress/singer Hailee Steinfeld.
So as Allen heads into his eighth season, there was plenty for him to talk to reporters about on Tuesday as the Bills kicked off their minicamp at ADPRO Sports Training Center.
And while there was plenty of buzz all offseason about the Wisconsin alum beating out Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson for the MVP and his new record-setting deal, Allen said his wedding was the biggest milestone of not only his offseason, but his life.
“They’ve all been big, none other than marrying my best friend, and she makes everything easier,” Allen told reporters. “So, I don’t really focus on the other stuff. That was the most important decision I’ll make in my life and I made the right one.”
Allen's remarks drew some strong reactions from fans on social media.
"So true! Here’s to you and Hailee! ♥️ð¹," one fan wrote.
"Happy wife equals repeat MVP," another added.
"Has there ever BEEN such an angel!?," remarked a third fan.
Allen and Steinfeld started dating during the spring of 2023, and they announced their engagement back in November during the Bills’ bye week with heartfelt dual Instagram posts.

Following their engagement announcement, Steinfeld was ingratiated by the people of Buffalo after a billboard was erected downtown applauding the couple on their exciting news with the caption: “The Queen city has a new queen. Congratulations, Josh and Hailee.”
It’s not known if Allen and Steinfeld plan on having children anytime soon, but according to a report from Us Weekly back in March, they seem open to the idea, even while Allen is still playing.
“Hailee loves supporting Josh’s career and admires his work ethic,” a source told Us Weekly. “She absolutely loves going to the games and cheering him on. It’s fun for her to bring her family and be with Josh’s and they make it a huge family outing. Their families have bonded a lot, especially during the season.”
