Sean McVay Jalen Ramsey Trade Update

Heading into the 2025 NFL Draft, both the Miami Dolphins and All-Pro corner Jalen Ramsey decided it was best for the two parties to go their separate ways.

Although it's unclear how many teams have thrown a hat in the ring for the 30-year-old corner, NFL insider Ian Rapoport revealed this past weekend that Ramsey will not be attending the team's minicamp.

One NFL team that has frequently been linked to Ramsey throughout the process has been the Los Angeles Rams. After the Rams traded for him during the 2019 season, he spent 3.5 seasons with the team, helping them win Super Bowl LVI against the Cincinnati Bengals.

While there's familiarity between the two parties, the Rams have yet to pull the trigger, and seem to be mulling over the possibility. According to Rams Staff Writer Stu Jackson, head coach Sean McVay confirmed conversations were had, about the matter, but that's about it.

"On the Jalen Ramsey front, Sean McVay said he and GM Les Snead have had some dialogue, but no news to share," wrote Jackson.

While McVay didn't shut the door on a Ramsey return, he did seemingly make it clear the Rams will not be pursuing All-Pro corner Jaire Alexander, who was released by the Green Bay Packers earlier in this week.

"Nothing but respect for the player, but I don’t know if that’s a direction we would go," said McVay.

The Rams could be just one piece away from getting back to the Super Bowl, as they fell 28-22 to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship.

Whether or not that piece is Ramsey is up for them to decide.
