The NBA offseason is looming. As many have already mentioned, this NBA offseason could be one of the ages.
There is a chance we could see a ton of movement, and that would not come as a surprise. For the seventh season in a row, the NBA will crown a new champion.
With that being said, many NBA teams that are fringe contenders or contenders feel like they are just one move or a handful of moves away from being the last team standing.
It's a new age in the NBA, and everyone is trying to get ahead. One team that will look to dominate this summer is the Miami Heat. The Heat are a well-established and well-represented team, and there is a chance they could throw their hat into the ring for what should be the best player on the trading block, Kevin Durant.
Durant's days in Phoenix are numbered, and he will undoubtedly be moved prior to the 2025-26 season. The Heat could be one team that could make a move for the 15-time All-Star.
NBA insider Zach Lowe shares in his latest piece of "The Zach Lowe Show."
"Miami is going to get involved. They can talk themselves into a nucleus of Herro, Bam, KD, plus whatever decent young players are left over here can get us somewhere.
"They're having to give up one of Jovic or Jaquez in any kind of trade like that."
NBA contributor Evan Sidery, for Forbes, shared a potential package for Durant from the Heat.
The Heat is one of many teams that will be in pursuit of Durant.
The 36-year-old is one of the best players ever to grace the basketball court, and the Heat is one of the few teams that could offer an enticing offer for the two-time champion.
Durant has sent the last two-plus seasons in Phoenix, and for the most part, it's been underwhelming. A change is likely on the horizon, but where to is the million-dollar question.
Durant is still at the top of his game, but with Phoenix wanting to go in a different direction, his days in the Valley of the Sun are numbered.
The Heat are coming off an overwhelming season of their own. They lost their superstar, Jimmy Butler, this past season, but there is a chance they can gain another this summer.
