Marcus Rashford is one of the many Manchester United players currently on holiday, recharging his batteries and recovering from injury ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Marcus Rashford is set to return to Manchester United at the end of the month when his temporary deal at Aston Villa expires.
After spending six months at Villa Park, the Midlands club has decided not to pursue the option to sign Rashford for £40 million.
Rashford made 17 appearances for Villa, scoring four goals and registering six assists, before his season ended prematurely due to injury.
It is unlikely that Rashford will play another game for United after falling out of favour under Ruben Amorim.
Rashford’s dream is to play for Barcelona, but it remains to be seen if the La Liga club will make a move for the England international.
After missing the end of the season with an injury, Rashford is using his summer break to work on his recovery and fitness.

A move would be best for both parties at this stage, but there’s no reason to think Rashford can’t be a success away from Old Trafford. It may not even be on the football pitch.
Rashford has shared another update from his holiday on Instagram, featuring himself playing padel tennis.
He captioned the post: “Padel time”.
His style, fast and explosive, fits very well with the sport. It’s whether he has the reflexes, speed and coordination to back it up on the court.
Padel tennis is one of the fastest-growing sports worldwide, with many footballers playing it as a form of training and entertainment.
The post was liked by the following United players: Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Antony, Godwill Kukonki, Tyler Fletcher and Ethan Wheatley.
David de Gea jokes about Rashford’s padel tennis ability
As mentioned above, many footballers have decided to take up padel tennis as a sport to enjoy during their spare time.
Rashford’s post prompted a competitive response from former United goalkeeper David de Gea, who joked about Rashford having never held a racket before.
De Gea wrote: “You’ve never picked up a racket in your life bro,” along with a laughing emoji.
This led to Rashford proposing a match-up invitation for his former teammate. In reply to De Gea, he wrote: “Haha! We should have a game.”
