Buffalo Bills running back James Cook, still without his desired contract, was the biggest watch as mandatory minicamp began for the defending AFC East champs.
And No. 4 was on the field.
With a thought that James might not show up in a protest of sorts due to the lack of movement on a new contract, as he is set to play on the final year of his rookie deal, the running back showed up for his teammates.
And when asked why he did, James didn't mince his words.
"I like my money, I definitely do, so that's why I'm here," Cook said with a smile."

However, just because Cook was in attendance, it didn't mean he had to be on the field with the rest of his teammates, as he could stage a "hold in" and watch from the sidelines.
But James was on the field and reportedly did all the required work, which came as somewhat of a surprise to some. However, what does he hope to get out of this three-day camp?
"Just to get better, just to be around the guys and feel good to be around them and just keep playing football," he added.
The big issue, though, wasn't going to be whether or not James attended minicamp; it was training camp and if he would show up without a new contract. But the running back is seemingly going to put the business side of football to one side when that time comes.
"It's my team and in order to win a Super Bowl or compete for a Super Bowl, then have a winning season, [I] have to be out there and be out there with my teammates," Cook said.
Right, so that settles it. Cook will be at training camp, but in what capacity is unknown.
Mandatory minicamp was the first checkpoint of sorts for Cook, and he is here and fully engaged, which is great for Bills Mafia. Now, attention will turn to training camp in the coming weeks to see if James stays true to his word.
And we think he will.
