Aaron Rodgers’ new Steelers rival can’t wait to ‘put him in the graveyard’

When Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers faces the Cleveland Browns Oct. 12, 2025, he knows he will have to avoid Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett. For Garrett, it is an opportunity to add Rodgers to a collection he is proud of displaying.

During the Browns’ minicamp practice Tuesday, Garrett, the former Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year who signed a massive six-year contract extension this offseason, was asked about his thoughts on the Steelers signing Rodgers.

“I think it’s a good opportunity for me to put him in the graveyard,” Garrett said.

What makes Garrett’s comments interesting is that it could actually happen. Garrett likes to decorate his house for Halloween, and in recent years, he has added jerseys and props from the players he has sacked to his decorations. In 2021, there were headstones of several quarterbacks with their team’s helmet logo, last name, and jersey number.

In 2024, Garrett showed off his elaborate setup based on the movie Terminator, with skeletons in jerseys from different teams that had Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills), Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens), Joe Burrow (Cincinnati Bengals), and others laid out around a broken-down car with no doors or windows.

Rodgers, who signed a one-year deal with the Steelers, has played the Browns with Garrett on the roster only once, when he was with the Green Bay Packers. In the Christmas Day 2021 game, Rodgers was not sacked in a 24-22 Packers win. Garrett himself has 102.5 sacks in eight seasons.
