Morgan Gibbs-White made history on Tuesday evening as the Nottingham Forest midfielder becomes the first Forest player to represent England’s Senior Men’s Team at the City Ground.
England faced Senegal at the iconic home of the Reds on Tuesday, the first time we have welcomed the Three Lions to NG2 since 1941, and for only the fourth time in the stadium’s history.
Never before has a Forest player appeared for the Three Lions at our world-famous home, but history was made when Gibbs-White rose from the England substitutes' bench this evening.
Gibbs-White, who made his senior England debut in September 2024, has previously risen from the substitutes’ bench to earn his three international caps, the most recent of which game during the Three Lions’ 1-0 victory over Andorra in the 2026 World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
The Forest no. 10 entered the field of play in place of Anthony Gordon just before the hour mark, almost getting himself on the scoresheet when his powerful effort was parried away by Édouard Mendy in the Senegal goal.
Congratulations Morgan!
