Green Bay is seemingly flush with wide receiver talent.
The Packers also moved on from two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander this week.
So, Bo Melton's trying his hand at a position switch.
Melton, a 2022 NFL Draft seventh-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks at receiver, got in some work at cornerback during Tuesday's first day of mandatory minicamp.
"We just thought that if there is somebody that can potentially do both, he would be that guy," Packers coach Matt LaFleur said, via The Associated Press. "I think a lot of it is just from his production on (special) teams and just his ability to make plays on teams."

Green Bay drafted Texas' Matthew Golden in the first round this year, marking the first time the Packers spent a first-round selection on a WR since 2002. They added Savion Williams in the third round, as well. Those two -- and Melton -- are now part of a WR room that also includes Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks, Julian Hicks, Malik Heath, Sam Brown, Cornelius Johnson and Mecole Hardman.
Since he was taken by the Packers, Melton's appeared in 22 games with 24 receptions for 309 yards and a touchdown. With making the roster hardly a guarantee, why not give a position switch or addition a try.
Melton's younger brother, Max, is a starting corner for the Arizona Cardinals, so perhaps his genes bode well for his future prospects.
Former All-Pro kick returner turned starting CB Keisean Nixon (34 starts at CB in six seasons), Carrington Valentine (19 starts in two seasons) and veteran free-agent addition Nate Hobbs are likely to hold down the starting reps at the outside cornerback spots.
"Some guys don't even have two, (and) we've got three really good starting corners that we really like quite a bit," Green Bay general manager Brian Gutekunst said. "Again, I think we have more depth than most."
While that's debatable, it would seem the Packers' WR room is a more crowded one than the CB's. The versatile Melton balancing that out is obviously something Green Bay is entertaining.
With the Packers, Melton has also tallied 11 rushes for 75 yards and recorded 154 special teams snaps. He's definitely handy in more ways than one.
Perhaps Jacksonville Jaguars first-rounder Travis Hunter won't be the only two-way player this season. Then again, it's still just June.
"I think it's just something we're going to look at and see if it's a possibility," Gutekunst said. "There are very few guys who have done it in our league, there have been a few, and when a guy's able to do that, it certainly helps your football team."
