The Utah Jazz are coming into another vitally important draft with the team at a huge crossroads. So many questions have arisen since the arrival of the new President of Basketball Operations, Austin Ainge. Following the announcement that the Jazz would not manipulate lineups to lose games, some questions remain. Does that mean the Jazz will be trying to win games and work towards a play-in appearance? Or does it mean they will trade enough veterans so that losing games happens whether they try or not?
With that in mind, the question that has been getting asked by opposing GMs is, will the Utah Jazz trade Lauri Markkanen? If they trade Markkanen, it makes it very likely that they keep their pick next year. If not, they risk losing their 2026 pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
