The summer transfer window is officially CLOSED - well, for a few days anyway.
Liverpool and its rivals will have to pause their business after the window was shut on Tuesday, with no deals able to go through now until it reopens on June 16.
The Reds of course have plenty already in the works, not least the pursuit of Florian Wirtz, which looks to be approaching a conclusion after an agreement was reached with Bayer Leverkusen. In truth, the window momentarily closing likely won’t stop Liverpool in its tracks, with clubs still able to work on potential deals in the background for the time being.
Only once the window is open again will those deals be able to be made official though, and Liverpool could be one of the busiest clubs out there should all go to plan. Here’s a look at what a dream scenario could look like for the Reds once the transfer window reopens…
Wirtz signs
Let's start with the obvious, shall we? The Wirtz pursuit looks as though it should come to an end sooner rather than later. It seems now that a record transfer has been agreed, with the German international set for a medical on Merseyside soon.
All the talk of a final offer being submitted may, understandably, have left some fans a little on edge, but those worries look to have dispelled now.
It looks like it will just be a matter of time now before Wirtz's move is officially confirmed, whether the transfer window is open or not. Watch this space.
Kerkez follows
Once Wirtz is officially a Liverpool player, there is an obvious next target. Milos Kerkez has long been linked with a move to Anfield, with recent reports suggesting the Reds will be stepping up their efforts to sign him.

It can't be a coincidence that looks to be the case now that the Wirtz deal seems to be reaching a solution, and hopefully a deal for Kerkez will be sorted quickly as well.
According to Sky Sports, contact has now been made with Bournemouth, although an offer hasn't yet been made. Still, with the Cherries having already lined up a replacement for the left-back, it seems Liverpool has the green light to advance.
Two more signed
Wirtz, Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong would represent an outstanding summer for Liverpool on their own. Hopefully though, the Reds might have at least two more signings up their sleeves.
A new striker should still be a priority, and a new center-back certainly wouldn't go amiss either. Who Liverpool gets in either of those scenarios is still anyone's guess, but there are some names that have been thrown around that would certainly go down well with supporters.
Of course, Alexander Isak would be the dream signing up front. How likely that is, we're not so sure, especially with Newcastle in next season's Champions League.

Hugo Ekitike might be a more likely candidate, especially with Chelsea unable to get a deal done with Eintracht Frankfurt before the start of the Club World Cup. According to Sky Germany, Liverpool is still in the race for the Frenchman, with $114 million being demanded.
Center-back is much more of an unknown, and there isn't any guarantee that Liverpool will go in for another defender this summer. If there is an opportunity to sign someone like Jorrel Hato from Ajax though, the Reds should absolutely take it.
Nunez departs
It's not just incomings that Liverpool should be focusing on once the window reopens. Arne Slot and Richard Hughes will need to shift one or two players out of the squad as well, not least Darwin Nunez.
The writing is on the wall for the Uruguayan, especially if the Reds do indeed get a new striker. In any case, after three years, a parting of ways is best for both parties.

Liverpool will of course want to get a fair amount for a striker who is still only 25, and a move to Saudi Arabia would perhaps offer that. Getting that extra money in will be a big boost as well after those deals for Wirtz and Kerkez.
Nunez isn't the only one who Liverpool should be looking to move on. If Kerkez does indeed arrive, then you would imagine Kostas Tsimikas might be on his way, unless Andy Robertson does a Jordan Henderson and decides he doesn't want to be second-choice.
Liverpool will also have decisions to make on the likes of Harvey Elliott and Federico Chiesa, given they don't seem to be at the forefront of Slot's plans. Those two can wait a little longer though, once we know whether all of these dream scenarios have panned out.
