Temporarily the transfer window is shut so Arsenal will have to put any official transfer business on hold, at least for now.
Tying in with the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, the first 10-day window came to a close at 7pm on Tuesday night with fewer clubs in panic stations as usually witnessed in January or September.
The Gunners had little to worry about as they do not compete at the tournament this summer, instead taking a longer view towards the 2025/26 campaign.
And regardless, the closure of the window will not prevent Arsenal chiefs from continuing any existing negotiations, but instead stops new players being registered until next Monday, June 16 at the very soonest.
Recruiting a striker remains of top priority in North London, meanwhile there are interesting developments being made that could potentially help Mikel Arteta bolster his squad further for another Premier League title challenge.
So, football.london analyses the latest transfer news and rumours circling the club, with updates on two key targets.
Sesko negotiations
The Independent say Arsenal are dealing with staunch negotiators in RB Leipzig, who are holding out for the full value of Benjamin Sesko's release.
And on that topic, there would appear to still be grey areas over the exact value of said clause. All that is provided in this latest claim here that it 'exceeds £65m'.
Personal terms are not seen as an issue with it thought the 22-year-old is keen to make the move to the Emirates Stadium, so striking a club-to-club agreement is the difficulty.
On the one hand Sesko's release clause rose throughout the last campaign and Leipzig may want the full value, but then they are also under pressure to sell having failed to qualify for next season's Champions League.
football.london says: Sesko's true price is anybody's best guess at this point in time, so it really is a waiting game as Andrea Berta attempts to get his German counterparts to cave. £65m said here seemingly refers to the lowest figure it was ever going to be, then plenty of speculation in recent weeks seems to have given mention to a £93m fee, which seems steep for a player with two years of experience in a top-five European league. Still, whatever happens Arsenal cannot come out of this window without a striker.
Rodrygo
The above report also covers the affairs of other Gunners targets with an interesting mention handed to Real Madrid winger Rodrygo.
It is said there is persistent interest in the Brazilian from Emirates Stadium chiefs despite the player's willingness to stay in the Spanish capital, and that persistence may pay off as he will only be making a decision on his future after the FIFA Club World Cup.
Real Madrid begin the tournament next week with a match against Al-Hilal and are one of the favourites to win the competition, which would mean playing until mid-July. They do so under new manager Xabi Alonso so Rodrygo would be looking to get a better idea if he is to continue to play second fiddle to the likes of Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham.
It is added that Arsenal may look to raise funds through player sales before looking to add a winger.
football.london says: Rodrygo being a top target amongst wingers is no surprise - he's won everything there is to win at club level and crucially is still 24, so has a long career ahead. If that is to the with the Gunners then splendid, Arteta will be able to rotate between higher-quality options than he had last season.
