As players slowly come back from the international break, Barcelona are expected to expedite the process of sealing the exit of unwanted stars.

Recent reports suggest Barcelona are expected to secure the exit of at least eight players by the end of this month, and one of them could be Ansu Fati.

The attacker, once considered an heir to Lionel Messi, has fallen from grace with no real hope of a comeback. His chances at Barcelona are spent, and the forward will be leaving the club this summer.

According to MARCA, Barcelona are in talks with Monaco to secure the exit of Ansu Fati this summer.

The club’s plan is to loan Fati out to Monaco with an option to buy next summer. Barcelona are hoping the Spaniard to make an impression in France so that his buyout clause can be triggered.

As far as the Barcelona team is concerned, Fati has fallen behind the likes of Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Ferran Torres and even Fermin Lopez in the pecking order.

The youngster was given the chance to impress by Hansi Flick last summer, but injuries ruined his momentum, and he was never able to produce any real output after coming back from injury.

This has prompted Barcelona to seek Fati’s exit this summer, with AS Monaco emerging as the likely suitor.

As per the report, Barcelona are expected to finalise Fati’s loan move to AS Monaco once the player returns from his vacation in the United States.

Fati’s exit could go a long way in helping Barcelona reduce their wage bill, which in turn, could help them bring in new players and register new signings.
