Manchester United could look to use one of their current stars as a makeweight in a deal to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer - with Joshua Zirkzee potentially being used as part of a player-plus-cash deal to bring Osimhen to Old Trafford.
Osimhen is one of the most sought-after strikers in the world at present, with his future so far uncertain given the nature of his loan spell and Napoli's willingness to sell him. That could see United swoop for his services, especially with his dream being to play in the Premier League - a division that has always attracted the Galatasaray loanee.

The report by Gazzetta states that Napoli are waiting for Osimhen to make a decision in terms of his future - and despite Al-Hilal continuing to push for his services, the Nigerian talisman is still holding out for United.

The Saudi Pro League side won't have any problems when it comes to affording a deal financially, but Osimhen feels as though he can offer something to one of the bigger leagues in the world, having been called the 'best striker in the world' by former Nigeria teammate Oghenekaro Etebo.
With the English top-flight being named as the best league in the world by the report, and 'world-class' Osimhen flourishing in a team that can play to his strengths, it could be the best move for both parties despite United not qualifying for European football after losing the Europa League final - and Zirkzee could be sent the other way to sweeten the deal.
Whilst there have been no official moves just yet, the Red Devils are 'studying' the best strategy in which to tempt the Gli Azzurri into a deal for his services, and to at least open negotiations with the possibility of the Dutchman being involved in an offer.
Alejandro Garnacho was previously considered, with Napoli believing he could replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia on the flanks, but he is no longer a target and so United are evaluating using Zirkzee as the 'main part' of the package.
He hasn't lived up to expectations at Old Trafford, but some strong form with Bologna has shown that he has the credentials to excel in Serie A - with Gazzetta stating that he is 'eager to redeem himself' should a switch to the Scudetto holders occur.
