Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly ‘furious’ with Sporting Lisbon bosses, as he is keen to make a move away from the Portuguese giants amid interest from the likes of ARSENAL and Manchester United.
Gyokeres has become one of the most in-demand strikers in world football after another season in which he broke the 50 goal barrier in all competitions, and is a player that is heavily tipped to make the move to the Premier League.
Arsenal are desperate to add to that front line after another season in which they played brilliant football, but failed to pick up any trophies that would add to the FA Cup Mikel Arteta has won since being boss of the Gunners.
Man United are also very desperate to add to that squad and are very keen to re-unite Ruben Amorim with the player that brought him so much success over in the Portuguese League, they really need a new striker at the club.
Despite links with the Premier League 12 months ago, Gyokeres remained at Sporting but it was reportedly agreed that he could leave for favourable terms this summer.
The forward is said to have made a ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ with his current club at the start of last season.
One of those conditions was reportedly that Sporting would accept around £60m to relinquish him, but According to Portuguese outlet Record, Gyokeres believes Sporting have now gone back on that promise and are demanding clubs pay closer to £80 million.
IcFootballnews says…
Gyokeres is a top striker that will surely score alot of goals for Man United or ARSENAL, if they manage to get some sort of deal done this summer. It could be a long running issue as Sporting are demanding top money for their star player.
But if he had to make the choice, Man United are more desperate for a new striker that what Arsenal are.
