Bayern Munich are open to selling centre-back Kim Min-jae this June. As per TBR Football, plenty of Premier League clubs including Liverpool and Manchester United have been approached.
The South Korean defender has also been offered to Chelsea and Tottenham. Newcastle are keeping a close watch too.
Kim had a great run last season with the German champions. He played a key role in helping Bayern clinch the Bundesliga title. Meanwhile, Bayern are now planning to change things this summer. So, he is very likely to be one of the players to make an exit.
The defender is also keen to join the top English clubs. The PL sides are looking to add some experience at the back. He has a good mix of power, aerial ability, and composure.
Kim Could Be the Fix for Liverpool’s Defensive Issues
Liverpool are short on reliable options in their defence. **Joe Gomez**’s injury troubles and Jarell Quansah’s inexperience have left gaps in their backline. Min-jae has his physical presence and top-flight experience. He could be a great addition to the squad. He will possibly be competing directly with Ibrahima Konate for a starting role.
Manchester United are in a similar spot at the moment. Their defensive errors have proved to be costly all season. Kim’s strong style fits the demands of the Premier League. It’s also believed that the player himself is open to a switch to England.
A move to a top side like Liverpool or United would certainly be an exciting next chapter in his career. Whether either club will officially make a move remains to be seen. But, with his name on the table, interest is definitely heating up.
