Darwin Nunez is one of many Liverpool players who have already been linked with an Anfield exit ahead of the summer transfer window fully opening.
Indeed, there was a 10-day window between 1 June and 10 June where players could be brought in if needed, but unfortunately for Nunez, no bids were made for his services.
Nunez’s Liverpool future has been brought into question on numerous occasions this season, with the Uruguay international not having the best of times in front of goal.

This is why it’s not a surprise to see the striker wanting out of Anfield, with his “priority” for his next club now being shared.
Darwin Nunez would prefer to stay in Europe rather than go to Saudi Arabia
Rumours around Nunez’s future have been cropping up left, right and centre, with multiple clubs linked with an interest in the attacker.
However, as per a fresh report from David Ornstein, Nunez’s ‘priority’ is to stay in Europe.
The report outlines that Al-Hilal ‘contacted’ Liverpool regarding a potential move, with the Saudi Pro League club being made ‘aware’ of the ‘conditions’ that would need to be met to strike a deal.
Ornstein adds that a bid worth around €70million (£59.2million) was rejected by Liverpool in January, so if a deal is to be struck, that would be the ‘minimum’ he’d exit Anfield for.

Liverpool should cut their losses and sell Darwin Nunez this summer
Even though Nunez is Liverpool’s record signing, the form he’s shown over the last couple of seasons has left a lot to be desired.
Indeed, there have been games such as Liverpool’s last one against Brentford, where Nunez showed his class, but more often than not, he struggles to hit the ball into the back of the net.
And, with Florian Wirtz’s Anfield move on the verge of completion, it’ll become less and less likely for Nunez to earn a place in Arne Slot’s team.
Wingers such as Malick Fofana have also been linked with a move to Liverpool, with strikers such as Viktor Gyokeres and Hugo Ekitike also mentioned.

With all of this in mind, while Nunez still has a decent amount of value and could still grow, it feels like the best thing that Slot and Richard Hughes could do is cut their losses and put the money earned from his sale towards strengthening the squad and replacing him.
