Barcelona are edging closer to sealing their first signing of the summer, with goalkeeper Joan Garcia set to arrive from Espanyol after the club triggers his €25 million release clause.
But with the goalkeeping situation nearing resolution, attention is now shifting to the next potential reinforcement – a new attacker.
While Barça’s interest in Luis Diaz has been well-documented, Ivan Perisic has emerged as a dark horse lately, in the club’s bid to bring in a new forward.
Perisic to become Barcelona’s next signing?
According to Mundo Deportivo, Ivan Perisic is being seriously considered by Hansi Flick, who is open to a reunion with the Croatian winger at Camp Nou.
The 36-year-old, fresh off a title-winning campaign with PSV Eindhoven, remains in excellent form. Perisic contributed 16 goals and 11 assists in 35 appearances across all competitions last season.

The German coach reportedly values Perisic’s professionalism, tactical versatility, and ability to step up in big games.
Despite his age, Perisic is still an automatic starter for Croatia and is determined to stay at the highest level ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
He would arrive as a free agent, and salary wouldn’t be a stumbling block for Barcelona, as the player’s priority is sporting rather than financial.
Perisic’s ability to play across the front line as well as in wing-back roles if required adds extra value to the deal.
While Deco has spoken about making “two to four signings” this summer, Perisic could very well be one of them, joining a shortlist that includes Luis Diaz and possibly Alejandro Grimaldo.
