Man Utd will look to add a striker to their squad in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United are still dreaming of a summer move for Sporting star Viktor Gyokeres as they look to add goals to their squad under Ruben Amorim. A deal is already in place for Matheus Cunha to join the club later this month, while a second bid for Brentford ace Bryan Mbeumo is also set to be placed.
After adding two attacking midfielders to their squad, United will focus their attention on a striker, with Gyokeres still the name at the very top of their list. The 27-year-old is in demand after an incredible campaign that saw him net 54 goals in 52 appearances as Sporting won a league and cup double.
United will face fierce competition if they are to sign him this summer though, with Arsenal another side keeping tabs on the Swede as they also look to add a goal scorer to their attack, while there is also interest from Saudi Arabia.

Fabrizio Romano issue Viktor Gyokeres update
At this moment in time, there is no team leading the race to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting in the summer transfer window. Manchester United are one of several teams interested in a move, though the striker is in no rush to get a deal completed as he considers all of his various options.
A proposed move to Old Trafford would rely heavily on player sales first, with several senior forwards available for transfer to help fund his move. Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Antony will all be allowed to leave, with United set to prioritise permanent exits over loan deals.
Rasmus Hojlund has also attracted interest from Inter over a summer move, but while United would be open to offers for the Danish forward, it is understood he would prefer to remain at the club. No matter what happens with him, United are still desperate to sign a striker this summer and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims there has been fresh contact over a possible move for Gyokeres.
In his latest GIVEMESPORT newsletter, Romano wrote: "It's an open race for Gyokeres. He remains on Arsenal list in case Sesko deal doesn't happen, Man United have called his agents again over the weekend."
Earlier in the week, Romano told his YouTube channel that Sesko was still the top target for Arsenal this summer, with Gyokeres viewed as a backup option. He also cited Juventus as a team that could rival United for the Swedish star in the coming weeks.
“Everything but at the moment Sesko remains the favourite, Victor Gyokeres remains the other option on the table for Arsenal, but as it's now two, three weeks that Arsenal are still not advancing on the Gyokeres deal all the other clubs keep calling his agents and that's what happened in the last 48 hours. So, over the weekend, because from what I heard Manchester United last week - United, Juventus, and Al Hilal also contacted Gyokeres’ camp."
