FORMER Weymouth left back Ben Greenwood has signed for National League South outfit Farnborough.

The attacking full back was signed by Mark Molesley at the beginning of the 2024/25 campaign following his release from AFC Bournemouth's development squad following five years at the Cherries.

He went on to make 32 appearances in the National League South during his spell at the Bob Lucas.

The defender also scored twice during his time on the Dorset Coast, including a stunning 25 yard volley in a 3-2 defeat to Dorking Wanderers in January.

Farmborough manager Spencer Day told the club's website that Greenwood was a 'standout' player during Weymouth's relegation season and is looking forward to seeing him in a Boro shirt.

He said: “Ben should really become popular quickly as a local lad that was so highly sought of at Bournemouth.

“One of the standouts at Weymouth last year as a dedicated left-back we are looking forward to seeing him in a Boro shirt.”
