Manchester United's summer transfer window seems to be in a bit of a standstill after failing to secure Liam Delap. The Ipswich Town ace was their prime target as they aimed to bolster their striker options.

However, the English starlet chose to sign with Chelsea instead, pushing the Red Devils to consider other possibilities. One such option is Viktor Gyokeres, but talks with Sporting Lisbon are proving trickier than anticipated.

Rumours about the Swedish star has dwindled as the window has advanced, with the player himself becoming increasingly agitated. Another potential signing is Victor Osimhen, who seemed all set to join Galatasaray.

Yet, there might still be a chance for United to swoop in and nab the Nigerian international. One deal that's definitely off the table is the one that would have brought Gianluigi Donnarumma to Old Trafford.

Donnarumma's future at PSG seemed shaky, catching the Red Devils' eye. Here, Daily Star Sport brings you all the latest United transfer news.

PSG's Gianluigi Donnarumma has made it clear he has no plans to leave the French capital this summer. The Italian is entering the final year of his contract at the Parc des Princes, reports the Mirror.

United's hunt for a new goalie to take over from Andre Onana has had them eyeing up Donnarumma. Yet, Donnarumma's made it clear he fancies sticking with PSG and reckons the talks about his new deal will be sorted swiftly.

"My priority is to stay at PSG, I don't think there will be any problems in the negotiations," Donnarumma told Sky Sports Italia post Italy's win against Moldova on Monday. "We're a great team."

Victor Osimhen has popped back on United's radar as their hunt for a top-notch striker heats up. With Napoli looking to cash in before his contract winds down, they've slapped a hefty £63million price tag on the Nigerian international.

The fee has put off potential buyers so far, and Osimhen has thumbed his nose at a transfer to Al-Hilal too. Instead, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, he's pinning his hopes on a Premier League gig.

With Osimhen snubbing Al-Hilal, the United camp is on high alert, thinking over a player swap to snag him. Alejandro Garnacho could be chucked into the mix, or Joshua Zirkzee might be considered.

Trouble brewing for Viktor Gyokeres

Viktor Gyokeres is getting increasingly annoyed with Sporting Lisbon as they keep putting the kibosh on his move away. After smashing it again for Sporting this season, Gyokeres has become a hot property, with United among the clubs sniffing around.

However, the Portuguese champions are not keen to let him go without a fight, leading to a growing divide. As per A Bola, Sporting agreed last summer that Gyokeres could depart for £53m this year.

They have since increased their asking price to £67m, causing a 'rift' between the player and the club. It's reported that Gyokeres has made his intentions clear to Sporting's chiefs, expressing his desire to leave this summer.
