A highly regarded Serie A centre-back has emerged as a target for Tottenham Hotspur but they are not the only ones eyeing a move for the player this summer.
Cristian Romero continues to be linked with a move to Atletico Madrid and should the Argentine depart, Tottenham are expected to be in the market for a top-class centre-back this summer.
So far, it has mainly been Premier League defenders linked with a move to N17, with Marc Guehi and Jarrod Branthwaite featuring prominently on Tottenham’s wishlist.
It has now emerged that the Lilywhites could turn their attention to Ivory Coast international, who has been a consistent performer in Serie A over the last two years.

Tottenham eyeing a move for Evan Ndicka but will face competition
It has now been revealed by RMC Sport that Tottenham Hotspur also have their eye on Roma’s Evan Ndicka, who has impressed the Gialorossi since joining the club from Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer two years ago.
Tottenham are thought to have been left very impressed by the 25-year-old’s displays at the Stadio Olimpico in the season just passed, and they have now launched an enquiry into a potential transfer.
However, they are not the only ones to do so, with Manchester United also alleged to have explored a move for Ndicka, who has two years left on his contract at the Italian capital.

Many other Premier League clubs are also eyeing Ndicka
This is not the first time we have heard of the Lilywhites’ interest in the Roma man, with TBR Football reporting back in April that Tottenham are right in the thick of the race to sign Ndicka.
However, that report revealed that the Ivory Coast international was also on the radars of several other Premier League sides, including Brighton & Hove Albion, Bournemouth, and West Ham United.
While the offer of Champions League football may make Spurs a more attractive destination for the centre-back, it is unclear right now how likely the North Londoners are to push ahead with an offer for the Roma man.
