Brendan Rodgers is certainly keeping Celtic busy in the summer transfer window.

The Celtic boss has been linked with Sondre Orjasaeter as Rodgers looks to add more quality to the Hoops front line.

With Kieran Tierney being unveiled by Celtic yesterday and Callum Osmand having passed his Hoops medical, Rodgers appears to be getting his transfer business done early.

And it appears that the Hoops boss is active again as reports say that Celtic have made an offer for an international winger who Liverpool also want.

Celtic make offer for Ecuador international winger Nilson Angulo

Journalist Cesar Luis Merlo has said that Celtic have made an offer for Ecuadorian international winger Nilson Angulo.

The Anderlecht winger has five caps for Ecuador and in last night’s 0-0 draw with Peru, the 21-year-old helped his country qualify for next summer’s World Cup.

Merlo said on X, “Nilson Angulo could leave Anderlecht: several clubs have set their sights on him, and the first to make an offer to buy him was Celtic Glasgow.

“The first proposal was considered insufficient by the Belgians.”

The newly crowned Premier League champions are said to be interested in Angulo and when asked if he knew anything about it, the young winger smiled and replied, “The truth is I just found out as I said, I don’t pay attention to these things.

“Right now the most important thing is the national team and the match on Tuesday against Peru.

“I think that’s going to be a very important match and whatever people say on the outside, I think I’ll see about that later.”

In 130 career appearances, Angulo has scored 19 goals and created 10 assists. Now heading to the 2026 World Cup, the highly-rated youngster will be able to showcase his talents in the biggest football competition on the planet next summer.
