KEY DATES TO LOOK OUT FOR
Logic suggests your eyes will first be drawn to the team we'll face on the opening day of the season, as we bid to make a fast start to the new campaign. Fulham filled that role last season, when Joshua Zirkzee spearheaded a 1-0 victory over the Cottagers at Old Trafford on his Premier League debut.
Similarly, the final-day opposition holds plenty of intrigue as it will present the last chance to get those final few points on the board. We welcomed Aston Villa to M16 in our last outing of 2024/25, ending what proved to be a difficult season on a positive note with a 2-0 win against Unai Emery's side, courtesy of goals from Amad and Christian Eriksen, the latter netting a penalty on his final Reds appearance.
There will also be plenty of attention of the dates we face our fiercest rivals, Manchester City and Liverpool, as we hope to extend last season's unbeaten record against Pep Guardiola's men into the new campaign.
Another famed Reds adversary returns to the division this year in the form of Leeds United, who we'll face in the Premier League for the first time since 2023, after we kick off pre-season against the West Yorkshire side in a Stockholm meeting next month. Burnley bounce back with them at the first time of asking, and they're joined by Sunderland, who United haven't met in a league fixture since our 3-0 victory over the Black Cats in 2017.
