It was the worst kept secret of 2025 but it is now signed, sealed and delivered.

Kieran Tierney is officially back at Celtic and has put pen to paper on a five-year deal.

His return from Arsenal comes six months after the Hoops had hoped after any chance of getting him up the road early after penning his pre-contract were dashed with the Gunners retaining his services to help their own trophy hunt.

That didn't end in any silverware but KT showed his importance with cameos off the bench and the fans showed how much love they had for the no-nonsense full-back who signed off from North London in the perfect fashion by scoring in his final game.

His homecoming is over the line and it will now be about adding to his Celtic success story under Brendan Rodgers in his second stint in the hoops.

It's a love affair that runs deeper than the Parkhead faithful as shown by many big names as his deal was announced.

Ian Wright posted SIX red love hearts while former winger and team-mate Scott Sinclair shared two fire emojis.

Oleksandr Zinchenko - who found himself in a similar situation as KT in terms of match minutes at Arsenal of late - said: "All the best bro." while Erik Sviatchenko popped up by writing: "A love story continues." with a number of emojis.

It didn't stop there with the likes of Odsonne Edouard, Aaron Hickey, David Turnbull, Josip Juranovic, Albian Ajeti, Christopher Jullien, Vakoun Bayo, Jeffrey Schlupp, Joe Hart, Umar Sadiq and Giorgos Giakoumakis and many, many more all liking the big news.

Tierney can't wait to get started and is already thinkiing about running out at Celtic Park once again.

He said: “Honestly, I cannot wait and I can’t describe it. It will be emotional, for sure.

“I’ve already thought about it and it will be emotional for me and my family.

"It’s been a long time, we’ve had ups and downs in the last few years, so coming back here and walking out at Celtic Park will be just incredible.”

Tierney has made one ambition clear for his return to Scotland as he kicks off the Celtic summer transfer business.

He added: “That’s part of playing for Celtic and it’s the pressure of playing for Celtic as well.

"You need to win trophies, you’re disappointed when you don’t.

“Obviously these last few years, I’ve not won too many but I’m hoping to come back here and win as many as I can and for Celtic to be as successful as possible.
