Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko were both on target for their nations on a busy night of internationals around the world.

Jakub started Poland's World Cup qualifier against Finland in Helsinki as Joel Pohjanpalo and Benjamin Kallman gave the hosts a 2-0 lead. Our Polish centre-back bundled the ball home on 69 minutes to give the visitors hope but they could not complete the comeback. The result leaves Poland in third place in their qualifying group, behind Finland and the Netherlands.

Oleksandr made an instant impact in Ukraine's friendly against New Zealand in Toronto, Canada. Coming on in the 74th minute for Oleksandr Zubkov, Zinchenko immediately got himself on the scoresheet with a superb first-time finish into the bottom corner.

Elsewhere, **Gabriel Martinelli** played the full 90 minutes in Brazil's World Cup qualifying victory over Paraguay, a result which confirms their place at next year's tournament in USA, Canada and Mexico. Vinicius Jr scored the only goal of the match just before half-time to give Carlo Ancelotti a first win in charge of Selecao.

In Nottingham, **Declan Rice, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Bukayo Saka** all started England's 3-1 defeat against Senegal.

Harry Kane opened the scoring for the Three Lions but goals from Ismaila Sarr and Habib Diarra turned the game around for the African side. Declan and Bukayo were withdrawn on 71 minutes with Myles going off in the 88th minute as England conceded a third in stoppage time through Youssouf Sabaly.

The next international break will be between September 1-9, 2025.
