Opportunity to sign‘force of nature’from Liverpool–Belief he can shine elsewhere

Darwin Nunez has been linked with an exit from Liverpool over the last few weeks and the possibility of Napoli moving for the Uruguayan is rising.

Two Italian newspapers have looked at the forward’s situation and Corriere dello Sport claim today that the 25-year-old is seen as a ‘force of nature’ by the Naples club and there is a belief that he can thrive away from Liverpool.

His profile is seen as suited to what Antonio Conte wants and that is why the idea of signing him is growing at Napoli.

Corriere dello Sport also believe Napoli will have a good chance of landing Nunez, who has rejected an approach from Al-Hilal and wants to be at the centre of a project at his next club.

La Repubblica, as relayed by CalcioNapoli24, report along the same lines and claim Conte will soon speak to the Napoli management about improving his squad’s attack.

Nunez’s name is prominently mentioned on their shortlist and Lorenzo Lucca is also a potential target. The likelihood is that only one between the Liverpool player and the Udinese giant will be signed in the summer and a decision will be made soon.
