Barcelona sporting director Deco is hard at work behind the scenes, to clear out some of the deadwood from the club’s first-team squad this summer.

That’s according to **[Diario Sport](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/deco-acelerara-salidas-118473033)**, who have this week provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

The subject of incomings has of course dominated the headlines surrounding Barcelona over the last couple of weeks.

This comes with Espanyol no.1 Joan García on the way in, and additions [being actively sought](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20250610/1002480459/barca-siguen-plan-luis-diaz-reflotan-nico-williams.html) in the final third, too.

All the while, though, the Camp Nou brass are forced to keep an eye on finances, eager to bring in much-needed funds through sales.

And as alluded to above, at present, work towards departures for no fewer than five players is underway.

As per Sport, new clubs are being sought out for all of the following with a view to the 2025/26 campaign:

Ansu Fati, Pau Víctor, Marc-André ter Stegen, Oriol Romeu, and Pablo Torre.

Internal discussions are also ongoing regarding the potential sale of defender Gerard Martín, in the sights of a number of Premier League clubs this summer.
