Daniel Farke’s future as Leeds United manager has been consistently under question despite his recent promotion success.
The German succeeded in his task of returning the Peacocks to the Premier League. However, his record in the top-flight is a concern.
Rumours circulated that Leeds were preparing to sack Farke before the start of the 2025/26 campaign as the Yorkshire club looked to be ruthless in their aim to stay in the division.
While Paraag Marathe has since backed Farke, speculation about his long-term future at Elland Road has not dispersed.

Despite Tottenham’s top-flight form, the Australian was considered a success at the London club after he guided them to a Europa League title.
Therefore, it came as a bit of a shock last week when Spurs decided to sack Postecoglou weeks after the season had ended.

With Farke’s future not guaranteed at Leeds, the Yorkshire club have been told by journalist Jonathan Liew via The Guardian (10 June) that the Australian would be the “perfect fit” for the Peacocks.
He wrote: “Leeds sacking Daniel Farke in November and going all in on Angeball feels like a perfect fit.”

Postecoglou to Leeds would be risky
One of the main faults of Postecoglou is his unwillingness to adapt his tactics, even when he isn’t getting results.
With Leeds likely to be in a relegation battle next season, appointing the Australian would therefore be a massive risk.
The Peacocks cannot afford to make errors, with 40 points likely needed to stay up.
Yet, many times in the 2024/25 campaign, Postecoglou made critical errors that cost Spurs points.
If Leeds were to get rid of Farke, the Peacocks would be better off targeting a relegation specialist at Elland Road.
While Postecoglou is a good manager, he would be better suited at the Yorkshire club once they are an established Premier League side.
Nevertheless, Marathe could have a big decision to make next season if Farke does not get off to a successful start.
