Aston Villa intend to ‘cash in’ on Enzo Barrenechea this summer, with a minimum €10m asking price put on the Argentine midfielder.
That’s [according to El Desmarque](https://www.eldesmarque.com/futbol/valencia-cf/20250611/el-plan-del-aston-villa-con-enzo-barrenechea_300687273.html), who report that Aston Villa intend to sell Barrenechea after his successful loan spell at Valencia this season.
They report that while a decision on the 24-year-old has not been finalised yet, all signs are pointing towards Barrenechea leaving Aston Villa this summer. And if he does, the club intend to ‘cash in’ on him.
They have no intention of sanctioning another loan and instead want to secure at least €10m for him from any interested parties.
The club are aware that the player’s loan at Valencia has worked as they wanted. It has served to boos his value ahead of this summer window.
That’s useful for Aston Villa as they need to raise funds after missing out on the Champions League this season. That will lead to a reorganisation of the squad and various sales.
Barrenechea can help on that front as he doesn’t appear to be in Unai Emery’s plans. And if he does depart, Aston Villa intend to cash in and ensure they aid their finances.
