Benjamin Sesko could offer Ruben Amorim a stunning ability that would fit in line with the Manchester United manager’s tactical system and have a knock-on effect for two players.
Manchester United are linked with Benjamin Sesko and the Red Devils are believed to be leading the race to land the 22-year-old RB Leipzig striker this summer.
Newcastle are interested in signing Sesko ahead of the Red Devils, but United are expected to ramp up their transfer pursuit of the former Arsenal target.
Ruben Amorim is tipped to sign a new striker this summer and offer further competition for both Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund in the frontline.
United-linked Sesko was on the radar of Arsenal this summer, but the Gunners successfully landed Sweden striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP instead.
Sesko had a release clause worth around £68.1m at RB Leipzig, which is an increase from the £55m set in 2024 due to different performance-related add-ons being met.

Benjamin Sesko’s playing style at RB Leipzig has a hidden benefit both for himself and his teammates amid Man Utd’s interest
Benjamin Sesko inked a new contract with RB Leipzig last summer amid interest from Premier League sides Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea at the time.
The Slovenian forward is under contract until 2029 and Leipzig are expected to play hardball over any negotiations for Sesko, who has impressed at the German side.
Sesko’s playing style was broken down in the Coaches’ Voice last month, with UEFA-licensed coaches identifying a subtle ability that he has in his attacking arsenal.
It was revealed that the Slovenia international has ‘surprising agility on the ball’ compared with other strikers and he is ‘comfortable taking on opponents.’
Sesko’s agility is coupled with how he performs his actions on the pitch, with the United target doing it when he is ‘in preparation for a shot’ before making a pivot.
The UEFA-licensed coaches added that the Leipzig forward would instead ‘beat an opponent’ and would then ‘release and link with teammates’ in the attacking set-up.

Benjamin Sesko’s use of agility could form a deadly attacking trident with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha
Ruben Amorim has already seen a major shake-up to his United attacking line with the arrivals of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford and Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
Matheus Cunha has already featured under the 40-year-old United manager and has played in the left-sided No 10 role, a position that he occupied in Wolves’ system.
Bryan Mbeumo has not made his United debut, but he is expected to accompany Cunha in the attacking set-up by playing in the right-sided No 10 role for the club.
Cunha is well known for his attacking flair and pace, with the 26-year-old ex-Wolves ace not afraid to take on opponents and unlock opportunities for his teammates.
Mbeumo, much like Cunha, has a dynamic flair to his playing style and the 25-year-old ex-Brentford star is expected to help link up the play in Amorim’s United system.
Sesko’s ability on the ball and his method of creating pockets for his teammates could see Amorim build a deadly trident of him alongside Mbeumo and Cunha.
