Leo Castledine will spend the 2025/26 season on loan with Huddersfield Town, CHELSEA have now come out and posted on the club website, as they continue to send their talented players out on loan this summer.
The Blues posted: ‘The 19-year-old has been with Chelsea since Under-15s level and made his senior debut in a League Cup semi-final win over Middlesbrough in January 2024.
‘Castledine will now embark on the second loan spell of his career after joining League One side Huddersfield until the end of the season. He spent the previous campaign on loan in League One with Shrewsbury Town.
‘We will continue to monitor and support his development over the coming season.
Good luck, Leo!’
IcChelseanews says…
This is a very good loan move for Castledine to make as he was probably not going to get much games in the upcoming season, the squad that Enzo Maresca now has is far to talented for the young players to make an impact.
Leo needs some minutes on that pitch, he needs to test himself at the professional game, and to be honest, at the age of nineteen he needs to do what is best for himself and his career.
Huddersfield is not CHELSEA, but at the end of the day is a level of football that should improve him and help him progress to that next level, he cant just keep on playing in the youth ranks every season.
We wish Leo all the best and hope that he comes back a better player than what he is now.
