Isak was never a realistic target for the Old Trafford club this summer, but it appeared the Red Devils wanted to test the waters and see if he would be keen on a move.
The 25-year-old ended last term with 23 goals and six assists in 34 Premier League games after notching 21 goals in 30 league appearances in 2023-24.
Man United could really do with such a striker in the final third having signed Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha this summer, but they will not be getting the Newcastle star and will need to look elsewhere.
Liverpool have seen their £120 million bid rejected by the Magpies, but he has agreed personal terms with the Reds and is hoping a move would materialise.
