Carlos Miguel is no longer part of Nottingham Forest’s plans and is now on the club’s outgoing list, according to a report from Brazil.
[UOL Esporte journalist Bruno Andrade](https://www.uol.com.br/esporte/colunas/mercado-da-bola/2025/08/01/ex-corinthians-carlos-miguel-esta-na-lista-de-dispensa-de-clube-ingles.htm) claims the 25-year-old goalkeeper has been made available for transfer, with manager Nuno Espírito Santo deciding not to include him in the squad for the new season.
Carlos Miguel has not attracted any formal offers so far, but he has been cleared to look for a new club for some days now. Despite the situation, he does not currently consider a return to Brazil. His priority is to remain in Europe, ideally in England.
The former Corinthians player joined Nottingham Forest in July 2023 for €4m. Since then, he has made just three appearances, with his last outing coming in an FA Cup tie against Exeter City in February.
Just a few weeks ago, in a podcast appearance in Brazil, Carlos Miguel spoke of his ambitions when leaving Corinthians: _“I left because it was for the Premier League, man. A lot of people in Brazil still don’t understand the scale of the Premier League.”_
He also made it clear that his goal was to follow the path of Alisson and Ederson and become one of the best in the world.
Those comments now highlight the contrast between his aspirations and the reality of his time in England so far.
His contract with Forest runs until June 2028, but a departure now appears likely as the club look to reshape their squad.
