Man United ponder move for French striker

Manchester United face Everton in their final match of the Premier League Summer Series in Atlanta on Sunday night.

The Red Devils have so far beaten West Ham United and Bournemouth during the pre-season tour of the United States, and head coach Ruben Amorim will want to see his side impress once again when they face the Toffees.

United host rivals Arsenal on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, before a trip to West London to face Fulham.

In the meantime, it appears that the Red Devils are considering a move for one of Europe’s most prolific forwards.

According to Foot Mercato via GiveMeSport, United could make a move to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani.

The report claims that the Frenchman’s proposed move to Italian side Juventus has stalled, and United could now look to sign the player.

Kolo Muani, 26, joined PSG from German side Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023 but was sent on loan to Juventus in January after starting just two of the French side’s first 18 Ligue 1 games of the season.

During his time in Turin, the France international scored ten times in 22 games for the Old Lady across all competitions.

It is claimed that the striker has no future in Paris, however a proposed permanent move to Juventus has stalled due to the Italian side’s financial situation, with the Serie A giants needing to offload players and raise funds in order to finance the move.

The two clubs are said to be quite far apart in their current valuations of the player, which has allowed other interested clubs – including Manchester United – to enter the race for the forward.

PSG are said to be keen to sell the player or agree a loan with an obligation or option-to-buy clause included in the deal.
