Joe Gelhardt is one of the players who Leeds United are willing to move on this summer, with the 23-year-old out of favour under Daniel Farke.
Having been in the first-team fold to start with last season, it was clear that Joe Gelhardt had too many forward players in front of him and a loan away from Leeds United was his best bet.
Joe Gelhardt’s career stats Appearances Goals Assists
Wigan Athletic 21 1 0
Leeds United 57 3 5
Sunderland 20 3 3
Hull City 20 5 0
The youngster arrived from Wigan Athletic back in 2020, but opportunities have often been limited. Loans to Sunderland and Hull City have been productive, but a permanent exit looks to be on the cards this summer.
It’s thought that a transfer fee between £3 million and 4 million is required for Gelhardt to exit West Yorkshire. That would be a big PSR gain for Leeds after he signed from Wigan for just shy of £1 million.

Contrasting reports emerge on Joe Gelhardt and Rangers
The 23-year-old is one of eight players who can now leave Leeds permanently, with numerous reports stating Leeds are willing to listen to offers for Gelhardt.
Gelhardt has hinted at regular first-team football as well, with Hull fans desperate for Gelhardt to sign permanently at the MKM after a successful loan stint.
One solution is that Wrexham could have been an answer for Gelhardt, but others claim 49ers-owned Rangers are eyeing Gelhardt on a permanent basis this summer.
Leeds and Rangers are reportedly in Gelhardt talks already, but the latest information has outlined something else regarding a potential switch to Ibrox.

Don Goodman’s Joe Gelhardt verdict
Sky Sports commentator and EFL pundit Don Goodman believes Leeds should sell Gelhardt for the good of his career.
He said: “With Joe Gelhardt, it almost seems pointless keeping him at the football club if you’re Leeds United.
“He’s been there a long time and not made the breakthrough even when they’ve been in the Championship. So, for all parties, it would be the best thing for him to move on.
“Whether that’s to Hull or not remains to be seen. Obviously, it was a tough season last season and Joe is still looking to kick on, really.
“I remember him breaking through at Wigan, this talented young kid that everyone was excited about, but it hasn’t really kicked on yet.
“So, hopefully the best is yet to come for him.”
