Wolves reach €17m agreement for player – Need to convince him, eyes set elsewhere

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reached an agreement with Sevilla for defender Juanlu, but he wants to join Napoli and is waiting for them.

That’s according to journalist Orazio Accomando, who reports that a deal is in place between Wolves and Sevilla over a €17m deal plus bonuses.

A report yesterday from Accomando stated that Wolves had put themselves into the battle for Juanlu, who had been closing in on a move to Napoli.

This was then covered in Spain, where they stated that Wolves’ effort for the defender had entered crucial hours and they were working to get ahead of Napoli.

Accomando now reports that Wolves have reached an agreement with Sevilla for a deal worth €17m plus bonuses. The problem is that the Spanish defender wants to join Napoli and is waiting for the Azzurri to officially move for him. Whether they do, remains to be seen.

Wolves are in the hunt for a new right back after Nelson Semedo departed on a free transfer this summer. His exit was confirmed this week and appears to have led Wolves to push for Juanlu. They, though, need to convince the player, who has his eyes firmly set on Napoli.
