Osman Kamara is one of the longest serving players in the Arsenal academy setup but the winger will be aware that he is entering a crucial campaign as far as his future at the club is concerned.
A skilful player who usually plays on the left flank, Kamara has endured problems with injury at times but has yet to fully establish himself as a regular starter in the Arsenal U21 team.
Kamara turns 19 next week and has entered the final year of his current contract as he looks to earn another deal.
When he was an U18 player Kamara often made a major impact – he scored 16 goals in 39 appearances at that level, which included some key contributions in the run to the FA Youth Cup final in the 2022/23 campaign.
He has found goals harder to come by at U21 level, scoring twice in 18 games so far, although a lot of those appearances have been as a substitute.
Kamara has gained international experience – he featured Sierra Leone at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.
With regards to his chances for Arsenal U21s, Kamara, who has just returned from injury, could feature prominently if Charles Sagoe Jr departs permanently or on loan before the closure of the transfer window.
Kamara also faces competition from 16-year-old Brando Bailey-Joseph but will be determined to show that he can impress at U21 level and earn an extended stay at the club.
