Club have returned to the case for Liverpool man – Could be ideal for the Reds

Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal have returned to the case for Liverpool’s Darwin Nuñez and continue to consider a move for him.

That’s [according to Foot Mercato](https://www.footmercato.net/a133666728914169159-al-hilal-fait-son-retour-dans-le-dossier-darwin-nunez), who report that even after a complicated season at Liverpool, Nuñez remains a sought-after player on the transfer market.

The 26-year-old has been linked with numerous clubs this summer and appears destined to leave Anfield, particularly is Alexander Isak is added to the signing of Hugo Ekitike.

According to FM’s information, Al-Hilal, who were interested earlier in the summer, have returned to the market following their failure to sign Victor Osimhen.

They have the financial power to match any transfer demands that Liverpool put on the Uruguayan. Liverpool would also see them as a good compromise to recover as much of the €80m they paid Benfica for the striker three years ago.

For now, it is a situation to keep an eye on, and this information does feel like an agent potentially trying to push other clubs into making a move for his client by name dropping Saudi interest and insisting that a move there is very much an option.
