Leeds United might be getting the last laugh over Newcastle United this transfer window.
In what has been a successful summer for the Whites so far, the job isn’t finished yet.
Although Daniel Farke has landed the structural parts of his squad, some serious ambition is now needed for Leeds’ attack.
Considering this, Leeds will battle Newcastle for Rodrigo Muniz as the Brazilian is a top target for the 49ers.
But the Toon Army might have bigger problems after some recent news, as Farke has dodged a bullet.

Leeds United target Joe Willock suffers six-week injury to Newcastle United’s dismay
The main transfer business between Eddie Howe’s side and the Whites was through Sean Longstaff, as the midfielder left his boyhood club in a £15 million deal.
But Leeds also wanted Joe Willock as the 25-year-old has been out of sorts in the North East and could be seeking a move.
However, after signing one midfield option from Newcastle already and Anton Stach, it is unlikely they will go for another target in this area.

Now, they’ll be glad they didn’t go for Willock, as the Newcastle star has suffered a 4-6-week injury, according to journalist Craig Hope.

Leeds might feel they have dodged a bullet as the Magpies player could have made the move to Elland Road for more than they paid for Longstaff, judging by Willock’s £25 million fee to Newcastle.
But on another note, it might now give the Black and White army a feeling of regret after selling Longstaff this summer.
Newcastle United should regret selling Sean Longstaff to Leeds United after Joe Willock news
Howe is now in a slight dilemma after losing one midfielder to injury and already selling an option this summer.
If the Magpies hadn’t sold Longstaff to the Whites, they wouldn’t be in this problem, as there must be a feeling of regret.
Newcastle fans already miss Longstaff and seem to think selling him was ‘madness’, but Leeds won’t be complaining following his past credentials in the Premier League.

Not only have the West Yorkshire side strengthened, but their dismissal of Willock has paid off, with Newcastle left with egg on their face.
As the days go on, a £12 million fee with add-ons seems like a bargain from Leeds’ perspective as the 27-year-old is expected to be a game-changing transfer, and Howe might be begging for him to come back.
