Teenage darts prodigy Luke Littler believes Man Utd winger Garnacho should be traded for Aston Villa’s star striker Ollie Watkins.
Luke Littler Backs Watkins as Man Utd Next Number Nine
Young darts sensation and a Manchester United supporter Luke Littler has made a bold suggestion this summer. He wants his club to bring in Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins. He thinks it will be fine even sending Alejandro Garnacho the other way as well.
Littler, speaking to esportsinsider.com, was clear that Utd need more firepower up front. Names like Nicolas Jackson and Benjamin Sesko have floated around Old Trafford in recent weeks. But, Littler sees Watkins as the perfect match for Man Utd’s system.
Watkins was in top form last season, netting 17 goals for Villa. He also put in solid work for England during the European Championship run. With Rasmus Hojlund already in the squad, Littler thinks Watkins could share the goal-scoring burden. He can add more bite to the Red Devils’ attack.
United Still Need More Fire in the Middle
But Littler’s wishlist doesn’t stop at Watkins. The darts’ player also thinks Man United need to strengthen their midfield. He highlighted Douglas Luiz, as a player they should try to get back to the EPL. The former Aston Villa midfielder has just joined Juventus last season.
Reports suggest Luiz might be open to returning, and Littler thinks United should pounce if the chance arises. Although, United have already added Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha earlier in the window. But, the darts star feels more options are needed to truly rebuild the squad.
Littler’s opinion may come from the world of darts. But, like any passionate fan, he knows what he wants. Watkins up front, along with a solid midfield upgrade, might just be the what Man United need.
