David Moyes is working hard behind the scenes at Everton to get the very best out of the players he has.
The start to the Summer Series over in the United States has been far from ideal, with Everton losing both of their opening games.
The frustrations inside the club have been made clear, as Moyes has demanded more transfer action from his recruitment team.
Following the loss on Wednesday evening against West Ham United, Moyes made it very clear that he was hoping for more new faces at Everton.
“We’re not ready to perform well enough in this tournament. We’re not ready to start the Premier League season,” said Moyes.
Although there have been some impressive individual performances, Everton have clearly been struggling through Moyes’ inability to rotate his side.
However, in a recent training session, he was seen personally coaching Beto to improve him in one important department.

David Moyes wants Beto to improve in Everton training
In the early stages of the summer, Moyes was impressed with Beto in Everton training whilst the squad was away in Scotland.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
However, his strong start in training has only translated into one goal.
Everton released fresh footage from their United States training camp, where the 62-year-old could be seen coaching Beto on his shot creation.
After missing his first opportunity, Moyes spoke to Beto about how his second touch was letting him down.
“Ok, your second touch, you might get defenders [on you]. So, keep your second touch controlled so you can get your shot away before the defender gets to it,” said the Everton boss.
It was clear the 27-year-old striker took the advice on board as he then proceeded to score on his next attempts.
Beto endured a real lack of service against West Ham, with the striker left feeding off scraps during his 45-minute display.
Competition is increasing for the starting spot up front following the signing of Thierno Barry. Moyes will, however, be delighted to see Beto listening to his advice during the training sessions.
But now it is time to show it on the pitch.
Moyes is concerned with Everton’s attacking output
It will be no real surprise to anyone, but Moyes is worried about the lack of opportunities Everton create in front of goal.
“I think our attacking play at the moment has been really poor. I think we haven’t created enough chances,” Moyes said on Wednesday in Chicago.
Barry is expected to become the starting Everton striker eventually, but Beto could begin the season in the starting XI.
That will provide the forward with an opportunity to replicate the form he showed last season under Moyes.
Everton are keen to sign Tyler Dibling among a list of other creative players, who will be eyed as support for the struggling strikers.
Only the three relegated sides scored fewer goals than Everton (42) last season, and that is something that simply must improve this term.
