Crystal Palace are set to do a double deal with Girona that will see them sign Arnau Martínez and Odsonne Édouard go the other way.
That’s according to journalist Santi Aouna, who reports that the double deal is being worked on and close to being done.
According to his information, Martínez is set to join Crystal Palace in a €10m deal including bonuses.
That will then free up Édouard to go the other way in a deal that will be worth a ‘flat’ €6m. In other words, there won’t be any bonuses included in it.
22-year-old Martínez is a right-back by trade but can also play centre-back and right-midfield if required. He’s a product of the club’s youth set up and has been linked to West Ham United earlier this summer.
Édouard, for his part, returned to Crystal Palace this summer after an unsuccessful loan spell at Leicester City. He’s been with Palace since a €16.3m move from Celtic in 2021 but does not appear to be a part of Oliver Glasner’s long-term plans and could now be set for a move to Spain in a double deal that will see Martínez arrive at Selhurst Park.
