Anderlecht have confirmed they have an option to buy the Aston Villa defender

Yasin Özcan has completed a loan move to Anderlecht from Aston Villa.
The Belgian club also holds an option to make the young Turkish defender a permanent addition to their squad next summer.
Özcan only arrived at Villa earlier this summer, having signed a pre-contract in February and remaining with his former club, Kasımpaşa, for the rest of the campaign.
Anderlecht sporting director Olivier Renard said: “Yasin Özcan is a left-footed central defender who can also play as a left-back. He fits exactly the profile we were looking for.
"He already has solid experience in the Turkish Süper Lig and will bring more competition to the defensive line.”
The 19-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough Süper Lig campaign with Kasımpaşa in 2022/23, featuring 19 times and scoring twice, either side of his 17th birthday.
He then became a mainstay in the Kasımpaşa starting XI during the 2023/24 season, starting 33 of the club's 38 league matches.
Özcan continued to impress, playing predominantly as a left centre-back, though he has also featured frequently at left-back since coming through the ranks.
