Aaron Ramsdale has delivered his first words as a Newcastle United player after joining the club on loan.
It has been confirmed that Ramsdale has joined Newcastle United on loan from Southampton. The deal also includes an option to buy next summer, as opposed to an obligation.
Ramsdale is costing Newcastle £4million, as he becomes the second senior signing to arrive at St James’ Park this summer.
Newcastle bought Anthony Elanga too, with the winger joining from Nottingham Forest for £55million.
Having missed out on multiple key targets, it has been a frustrating summer for Newcastle. Eddie Howe will hope that begins to change, as he welcomes Ramsdale into his Newcastle United squad.

Aaron Ramsdale’s first words as a Newcastle United player
The deal represents a return to the Premier League for the 27-year-old, who cannot hide his delight following his move from Southampton to Newcastle United.
Following confirmation of the deal, Ramsdale has spoken to newcastleunited.com about what it means to finally become a Newcastle United player.
“It’s great to be here. I’ve always loved coming here and I’ve seen how passionate and loud the fans can be. I’ve always loved playing here at St. James’ Park – I’ve not always had the greatest of results, but when the fans get behind you it’s some place,” he said.

“Coming to the stadium and seeing it empty today, it’s quite surreal to think that this is going to be home for the foreseeable future. I’ve got the kit on, it’s got the nice Champions League badge on the sleeve and I’m delighted to be here.”
Aaron Ramsdale squad number confirmed
Newcastle appear to have confirmed that Ramsdale will wear the No.32 shirt next season.
That number was last worn by Elliot Anderson, who left the club for Nottingham Forest last summer.
The most notable figures to have worn it are former goalkeeper Steve Harper and cult hero Laurent Robert.
Ramsdale is presumably in line for his debut at the club when the rest of the squad return from their pre-season tour of Asia.
Newcastle play Espanyol and Atletico Madrid in a Sela Cup double-header next weekend and could hand the England stopper his first appearance.
