Liverpool's squad revamp is in full swing. After a quiet first year under head coach Arne Slot, the Reds are now making waves with their summer recruitment drive.
Their £110million bid for Alexander Isak on Friday - swiftly rejected by Newcastle United - is the latest sign that Liverpool are ready to splash the cash this transfer window. But it's not all about big-money signings. The Reds have also been active at the other end of the spectrum.
Isaac Mabaya, a 20-year-old right-back and Academy graduate who made his senior debut last season, is the latest youngster to be loaned out, heading to League One side Wigan Athletic for the season.
Luca Stephenson is another young talent set to leave. The 21-year-old has caught the eye during pre-season and impressed the senior coaching staff on the Far East tour with his performances in training and matches, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Dundee United, where he spent last season on loan and was named Young Player of the Season, would welcome him back, while Championship side Swansea City and League One clubs Cardiff City, Reading and Rotherham United are also keen.

Scottish club Aberdeen are also fans of the player and are mulling over a permanent deal, having previously signed Leighton Clarkson from the Reds.
However, if Stephenson does end up going out on loan, Liverpool will ensure his contract is extended before the young player departs.
James McConnell made a name for himself during the 2023/24 season, particularly when he came off the bench to help the Reds clinch the League Cup in a thrilling match against Chelsea at Wembley.

The 20-year-old midfielder had his moments in the League Cup and FA Cup under Slot last season, earning praise from the Reds' gaffer for his performance in the Champions League opener defeat at PSV Eindhoven.
McConnell, with 13 first-team appearances under his belt, is expected to be back in full form soon after an injury, and has caught the eye of several clubs.
Championship sides West Bromwich Albion, Ipswich Town, Derby County, Oxford United and Swansea have all shown interest in the player, while newly-promoted Ligue 1 team Metz from France are also keeping tabs on him.

Meanwhile, Lewis Koumas, the Welsh international striker, is also drawing attention for both a loan and potential permanent transfer.

The 19-year-old forward made a memorable debut by scoring in the FA Cup victory over Southampton in 2024, followed by six goals in 49 appearances while on loan at Stoke City in the Championship last season.
A number of second-tier teams - Norwich City, Sheffield United, Hull City, Preston North End, Oxford and promoted pair Birmingham City and Wrexham - have all expressed their interest.
Koumas has also attracted interest from Spanish outfit Sevilla, who narrowly escaped relegation from La Liga in the previous season.
