Hato completes medical
Ajax defender Jorrel Hato has moved a step closer to joining Chelsea after completing a medical. The 19-year-old centre-back is now finalising the paperwork on a seven-year contract. The Blues will pay an initial fee of £35.5m, plus add-ons.

The striker has not trained with his teammates in recent days as he seeks to force a move away amid interest from Newcastle United.
Brentford rejected a £25m bid from the Magpies and wish to hold onto Wissa after selling Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United in a deal worth up to £71m. Wissa is said to be angered over the club’s stance.

Ramsdale joins Newcastle
Newcastle United have signed Aaron Ramsdale on a season-long loan from Southampton. The deal includes an option to buy next summer.
The Magpies turned their interest to the former Arsenal goalkeeper after missing out on James Trafford, who joined Manchester City from Burnley for a £27m fee last week.
Wilson deal agreed
West Ham United have agreed a deal to sign free agent Callum Wilson. The 33-year-old striker, who left Newcastle after his contract expired at the end of last season, will pen a one-year contract.
Kolo Muani to Spurs?
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly renewed their interest in PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani, according to The Times. The north London outfit tried to sign the 26-year-old in January before he went on loan to Juventus.
Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Kolo Muani wants to return to Juve, with discussions over a permanent move or a loan with an obligation to buy taking place.
Hayden Hackney rejects offer
England U21 star Hayden Hackney has turned down the opportunity to join Ipswich Town. Middlesbrough had agreed to sell the midfielder for £20m, which would have been a record signing for Ipswich.
Hackney was named on the bench for Boro’s pre-season friendly against Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday afternoon.
