Door open for shock transfer as former Leeds United star could return

Leeds United have lined up a couple of moves this month. With just a few weeks till the Premier League kicks off, a lot of clubs will be busy answering phone calls.

Leeds might find themselves very busy these couple of weeks. Especially dealing with departures; a whole host of players are in the process of leaving the club. This also means Daniel Farke could need a few additions to replace the departures.

The Whites also need to add some firepower to the attack, after missing out on Igor Paixao. And per the latest news, a deal for Fulham star Rodrigo Muniz could be on the rocks.

Tottenham star Son Heung Min is set to leave the London club after 10 years. His exit could mean that one of the current first team players step up to replace him. Thomas Frank listed some of the players who could be in line, and in a surprising turn of events, he failed to include Manor Solomon in that list:

“First and foremost, when a great player is leaving a team other players have a chance to shine.

“Brennan Johnson is a player who could play on the left. Also, I think that Wilson Odobert did well against Arsenal and can play on the left and also Mathys Tel is a flexible player.

“I think we have some young promising players that hopefully can step up and take over from Sonny in the future.”

It is also pretty telling that Manor Solomon is yet to play a single minute of pre season football for Tottenham this summer.

Spurs could be open to selling

Though there is no word on Leeds being interested in a deal at this stage of the transfer window, Spurs are reportedly open to selling Manor Solomon.

“They (Spurs) were willing to let him fight for his place, but I think it’s going to soon become apparent to Solomon that he’s not really a part of Tottenham’s plans. He would cost probably a bit less than £20m,”

Things could change after Leeds missed out on signing Igor Paixao.

Will Solomon choose a return to Elland Road?

Ultimately, a deal only happens if Leeds are interested as much as Solomon is. The player wanted to stay in London and fight for his future, but it looks like that is long gone. Leeds also need another attacker that can come in and improve the team immediately.

For a cut price fee, a move for the winger might be the best option the Whites have this month.
